A mechanical engineer with more than 30 years experience making change happen accross multiple industries. The change initiatives have run a wide spectrum of manufacturing, including the steel processing industry, the can and container manufacturing industry, the custom office furniture manufacturing industry as well as service based industries.

They have ranged from hi-tech, highly automated, high speed, leading edge technology operations through to low-tech, low speed, highly custom, low volume, and highly labour intensive. Unionized and non-unionized, as well as high performing, self managing, self regulating socio-tech operations where the culture goes beyond engagement into the realm best described as ownership, accompanied by continual improvement and innovation, Change Mastery!

When I began my career as an engineer designing custom machines and processes, for the steel industry, I believed that the future magic in business would be in the technology. Over the years I quickly have grown to realise that the magic for businesses in the future is with their people and technology is just be a tool to help them do their work better and provide the opportunity for them to contribute at a higher level. People matter much more than most business owners and leaders realise. When you create an environment where people truly matter, and you give them what they need to be successful, be prepared to fall in love with your business, and what it brings to your life. I truly believe that it is just sitting there waiting for you to find it!
